Go Banks! I was kind of expecting this to happen to Mitchell eventually. I think a Banks vs Wilder fight could be interesting. And Mitchell vs Hammer could be fun to watch.

That was a nice little set trap by Banks, rode off the ropes with a straight right and it caved in on Mitchell.
Rewatching Mitchells last 3 and I think we have seen where he is going already. Fun style but those fifteen minutes are near.
Unfortunately it appears Mitchell has a glass jaw....and temple.
Good for Banks though, and despite Merchant trying to draw tears out of him in the post fight interview like he did to Katsidis a couple years back, Banks held it together and was very well spoken.
Both guys were classy after the fight.
Neither had a pray against either Klit before the fight, nor do they after the fight, but wish em the best.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
It remains to be seen about his chin but it 's not looking good for Mitchell. That's what makes the heavyweights so much fun to watch. When they start swinging anything can happen. I hope Mitchell stays with it and has a good career, needs to work on defense some.
Merchant is the most annoying person in boxing, in my opinion. When he starts interviewing fighters, I head out of the room.
Good for Banks and I agree that he should stay away from fighting either Klitschko.
I don't think Banks will fight Vitali or Wladimir and it's probably a wise move.
If I'm Seth Mitchell I assess my career and think long and hard about continuing in boxing because if your heart isn't 100% into it then you will end up getting hurt. I think Julius Long would be a nice comeback opponent.
Jonathan Banks is a good fighter, he's got a chance to avenge his defeat to Adamek and I think that should be the A#1 fight he tries to make. At cruiserweight Adamek had the advantages but I think at heavyweight it could be a different story. Other interesting fights could be Boytsov, Cunningham, Dimitrenko, Chagaev, Povetkin. As the highest ranked American Heavyweight next to Arreola he can do whatever he wants.
I'm honestly stumped on what Banks would do. The irony of having his two biggest oppurtunities come within a month has to be tons to swallow. To train in the footsteps of a legend and the heavyweight Champion and the top flight exposure of demolishing a would be challenger and now enter the division picture. Surely he cannot do bothHe may have one of the biggest decisions in a lifetime to make here. If he did go I'd avoid Arreola though he does have the high exposure stateside. Don't think he has the firepower to hold Chris off. Maybe a pre Wlad go with Povetkin?
Mitchell is going to really tread lightly to get back into it. I like the guy but that was a bad bad exposure. He makes alot of mistakes and unlike a free swinger like an Arreola for example does not have the durability and thickness to stay in. He leans over, head out and looops hooks sometimes missing badly. Can dig the body nice but no jab, a sucker for rights and was for all intents and purposes caved in off one right hand from Banks off the ropes and it was all down hill. He doesn't tie up when hurt...he tackles to the waist like he was back on the field. I dunno man. Dude has his work cut out for him big time.
