As far as I know, Flintoff is 34 and could of had some amature contests until 35?
Would have been a lot more respectful to the sport and it's fighters than jumping straight in to a hyped TV bout.
Less attention and money for him though...
I don't buy that this is good press for boxing, all this bout does to the uniformed punter is take the piss out of boxing - the undue hype given belittles the time and dedication needed to become notable.
Some of you are talking like boxing needs any bit of publicity it can get. Rubbish, boxing needs to be taken seriously... The watering down of alphabet titles has weakened down the sports credibility enough without what is essentially a celebrity boxing match being given ANY credibility or interest.
