Is Amir Khan the next Hamed. Well, let's consider the evidence.

    1. They have both come on to the boxing scene quickly, engendering a fair deal of hype and support from the fans.
    2. Neither of them is especially keen on a guard, and they both like to showboat.
    3. They were both ambitious who have absolutely no doubts in themselves.
    4. And here's the contraversial one. Nas Hamed had a string of convictions for his driving, before eventually getting locked up. Amir Khan recently got his first driving conviction, not too long into his driving life. Let's hope AMir knuckles down and focusses on his boxing, and that he doesn't develop the same disregard on the road the Hamed eventually did, which became his downfall.

Naz did lose fair and square to Dean Pithie at the 1989 Schools, and that was his last loss (before Barrera).

So Naz was actually undefeated then for the whole of the 1990's!

This thread was to find out more about the potential of Khan, it has some how turned into a Naz shrine
that in itself tells you the potential of Khan

Or how much we miss Naz?? Crazy part is more than half of us bashed him while he was still fighting

Even though Amir's career is very young it seems like that star power is moving in his direction, after he has a couple of big fights I think he will become very popular in the mecca of boxing which is the USA.

Too bad he doesn't have claim to a win over a great fighter....
    I know, man.

But remember, Barrera respected him enough to completely change his boxing style..

Amir doesn't have the talent potential of Naz or the punching power. If Amir wants to be effective he'll have to work on his defense a lot more! Naz with his defense could get away with some things because his counters would come and hurt his opponent, Khan doesn't haev the power to do that, if his counters come off its not going to hurt eveyrone like Naz's did and he's going to get hit a second time

Amir Khan wil be the next Naz Hameed. If Amir Khan still plays how he plays now and some stronger punches and he needs more technique and then he will be the next Naz Hameed
