If Wlad could have survived the first few rounds against Iron Mike then I give him a chance to win a decision or late ko.
A chance, sure. But a small one, IMO. A belief probably based on the myth that Tyson would exhaust his artillery early and fade later in the fight. But prime Tyson was tireless. The Douglas fight that has been mentioned so much. Douglas, who fought the fight of his life, pushed and manhandled Tyson throughout the fight. He gave as good as he got. Wlad would've never been able to duplicate that. He wouldn't have exposed his chin in those exchanges. This manhandling should've tired Tyson out. And yet Tyson found enough in him to floor Douglas in the 8th with a vicious uppercut. And uppercut that incidentally, would've decapitated the weak-chinned Wlad. Tyson tried to press the advantage in the 9th... but Douglas would not be denied that night.
Wlad wouldn't not have been involved in that type of warfare with Tyson from Round 1. And thus, Tyson would've been just as fresh in the later rounds, and even more dangerous to take Wlad's head off.
Yes... a chance. But not one most people would've put money on.
As someone here has stated, to assume Wlad beats '88 Tyson that would mean Tyson never did land 1 clean head punch on Wlad. That version of Tyson always landed one clean and hard punch to every opponent he faced up to that point, that would include fights where he went the distance with guys like Tillis, Green, Tucker, Smith. And I would say Tyson would be able to land one on Wlad. With that being said, would Wlad be able to take the punch? I would say no, considering we know that Wlad has a below average chin.
Wlad has a better chance than you may think , You are over looking the fact with his sheer size , I dont think Tyson would be able to bite Wlad's ear off , I think he is just to tall![]()
David Haye took 3 rounds from your boy and made hum look foolish at times by dodging 4 and 5 punch combos with ease
Tyson was breaking ribs, moving cervical disks out of place, wiring jaws shut, and breaking bones in people skulls
He regulary beat guys as big as the klits ... David jaco, sammy scaff, tyrell biggs etc ... That leaning back arms out nonsense that the klits call "defense" would be an open invitation to Tyson ... Guys who did that and moved back suffered the worst beatings
You guys have to understand that this is an wildabeast vs lion matchup ... The ungalate may look formidable with its size and horns from the exterior but its percieved strengths are just superficial and wont save it from the hungry jaws of the lion
Beyond his size Wlad is a panic attack glass jawed disaster waiting to implode.. He has never seen anyone like Tyson while Tyson never fought anyone who wasnt taller and bigger than him

I think a difference of opinions in life are healthy , but to clear up a few points , Wlad is not "my boy" as you put it.
To compare Sammy Scaff / David Jaco to the brothers grim is just silly , dont forget Wlad would be punching back.
As for your child like stamping of the feet quoting the breaking of bones etc , i dont remember to many world class fighters he fought suffering these injuries.
Tyson was a bully , very good yes , unbeatable no.
I get your disdain for Wlad. But didn't you just exaggerate one point just a little bit?
Exactly WHICH 3 rounds did "I hurt my toe" Haye take from Wlad?
He landed 72 punches in the ENTIRE FIGHT.
See here's the thing: Sometimes Wlad's opponents are just as scared of Wlad as he is of them.
Cmon guys.
Would prime tyson beat a prime Wlad?
Lets ignore hindsight and all that and respect that wlad is the man of this era but he comes up short against iron mike.
