Like I said before the window of low base pay combined with the appropriate amount of dependents in order to qualify for food stamps is very small. This is an over stated issue used to pander to the military.

I'm making the point that not everybody getting food stamps is a freeloader. The fact that members of the military and tens of thousands of veterans are getting foodtamps helps me get my point across.
Fair enough but this statement:

"A lot of the people using food stamps will be US army families because they're paid so little they qualify for food stamps"

is not an accurate or fair representation of how many DoD families use food stamps.
