Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko

What kind of feeling of terror and impending doom would cut across Wladimir Klitschko's heart if he ever stepped in the ring with a prime Iron Mike Tyson of 1988?

How badly would his glass jaw and back peddling style be exposed by most ferocious human to ever enter a boxing ring? Tyson would literally pounce on Wlad like a lion and send a earth shaking left hook crashing into his jaw ... probably dislocating it and sending half a row of his teeth into the stands. A Tyson hook would viciously KO him even with his guard up. Even a jab would put his lights out, and it doesn't even have to land clean.

Tyson would most definitely end his career and brutality stop his brother as well. A lion cannot be wounded by a gazelle and no Klitschko can ever live with Mike Tyson, the king of boxing. No member of the human species could ever defeat a prime Iron Mike Tyson of 1988.

In fact I reckon Wlad could get a DQ in this. I just reckon he would be holding and holding, pushing Tyson's neck down, smoothering and running, but I do think Tyson would catch up to him. I see like it like te Tyson Vs Biggs were Tyson would eventually chop him down because the ref would give Wlad a choice : Either fight or get a DQ...then he would have to fight and that's when the fight would be over

But a part of me, reckons Wlad would be so cowardly that he would rather get a DQ, than get knocked out so he would ignore the ref and get the DQ

I would hope it wouldn't come to that but I agree Wlad sometime clinches too much, like with poor Mormeck who already had no chance.

He does clinch but it's not like Tyson never clinched. Tyson clinched to use his bully tactics, the forearm in the throat, the elbows and forehead, but he also clinched to get rest on the inside because it was safer than staying on the outside because with footwork one could put him in range quickly. Tyson would clinch if he messed up his own footwork or angle of attack.

Wlad does it more but for both Wlad and Tyson it's strategic. Ali used to clinch too I don't see people bitching about that, where were you guys when Ali was all over Frazier's neck?

Im glad you mentioned that fight as I really needed to rewatch it. There was a bit of clinching and leaning by Ali, but perhaps a bit less so. To Fraziers credit, he was pretty relentless and decently fast with head movement. Showed good examples of counter attacking after making Ali miss.

Unfortunately for Tyson, Wlad is much smarter and disciplined than him. Wlad would hug him down, maybe even get a point deducted , then knock Tyson the fuck out late. No shame in that consdering tyson tried to break numerous fighters arms and was a very dirty fighter...i could also see him getting disqualified here, He was too easily frusrated and had the boxing brain of a pygmie. Raw power and rage works fine on bum but....

I took your first post to mean tribal/neanderthal like, as in beat women over head with club,rape etc and far removed from being technical.
