Flintoff was shit. He is not a fighter. It wasn't even 3 minute rounds.
Be an amateur if that is what you are. It is a con exercise though, whence 2 minute rounds.

It was exciting and Flintoff gave it his all. Well done to him for putting a great effort and bring much needed good publicity to boxing. Cannot wait for the next fight.

I've just heard they are bring back, Stars In There Eyes to nights special guest Freddie Flintoff,
who are you going to be, tonight Malcolm I'm going to be Larry Holmes in a fuck in pigs eye you are.
LOL! Lucky bag...nice! I remember those
I agree, it was a farcical occasion. As Miles has already pointed out, if you want to be a pro boxer, then wtf are you fighting 2 minute rounds?? Amateurs don't even fight 2 minute rounds anymore. It was a glorified circus act. A total exhibition. His opponent was paid not to throw any punches and when he did dare to throw one single shot, he put Freddie on his arse.
Congrats to him for his personal achievement. I am truly happy for him in that regard but let's leave boxing to the actual pro's and people clawing, scratching their way for some of that valuable TV time who might not have had the benefit of an international Cricket career behind them.
Barry Mcguigan is pissing me off too. "Freddie can hit the bigtime in Vegas.." - No, he can not. I'm a positive person but let's not be a c**t about things, Barry..

He first stepped into the ring to start training a little over 5 months ago and fought a Professional bout within that time and won and although he was all over the place I just wonder WTF people expected him to be like 'A Young Tommy Morrison' or something FFS
For such little time to learn how to fight I think the lad done well myself and it appears the majority of forums members that dismiss Flintoff for getting into the ring, have never gone as far as watch a live fight never mind train or fight themselves![]()

I'm a fight fan, I've been to small hall fights, World title fight;s and Armature fights but I would
not pay to see that crap. It's go's like this I no some pro's, after talking to them they think it's a joke
giving out a Pro Licence, to a novice cricketer it belittles this sport.
Guy's that have boxed, as kids holding down a job training and boxing as a pro, they are the hero's
not some celeb want to be.![]()

Heroes are people who put their lives at risk for the betterment of others in my own opinion, never a boxer fighting for a purse, however, Flintoff has put himself on the line when he has no need to do so because he has always enjoyed boxing, fair play to him I say because I would rather watch his fight where he came to have a go than watch Johnson again who came to do as little as possible....I appreciate a fighter myself and Flintoff proved he was to me!

I hope Freddie fights again but against a local fighter so that he is giving something back to local boxing. It is a good thing Flintoff fighting and credit to him for his performance. Barry must have some serious investment in him for making out that Freddie is better than what he really is.
