Anyone want to chip in and see if we can bribe Chambers to stay a heavyweight and pay Johnson to leave for the cruiser weight division

Quality performance from Fury, disciplined and gained invaluable experience.

Nothing. I don't blame him but if you threw a rock in the ring and he beat that up would you call it an impressive performance? Lets put things into context here. He fought a one handed fighter who only sparingly used his jab for 36 minutes who could not move his head out of the way of a hotdog thrown from the bleachers.

I agree with what your saying, Johnson offered nothing to the fight but Fury did what he had to do to win it. He didnt do anything silly and just boxed, he looks in shape and was durable over 12 rounds. Thats a credible performance in my eyes, we will just have to see how he gets on next time, I would like to see him in with more of a puncher to be honest but im not sure what route Hennessy will take from here. Its all on Vitali now really.

I was impressed with furys fitness, he moves very well for such a big guy. It wasn't a hard fight on him but he still had a spring in his step in the 12 round. He never looked tired.

He gave Johnston to much respect, if he pressured him more I'm sure he could of got him out of there.

Problem is, he has no idea how to get someone "out of there" he just does not have a killer instinct, and he has very little power. I never saw him land a punch of any consequence. He was content to just punch through Johnson's gloves and every once in a while go downstairs. If he saw the Vitali fight, and wanted to step up in competition, he would have figured out a way to get Johnson out of there. The blueprint to win was easy enough to copy

He's obviously not ready for the next level. Adamek, Haye and Chambers would give him fits because they could walk through his punches and land something meaningful

Good news is he still has time to improve

I think Fury also lacks that killer instinct.

Is he showing to much respect to opponents, or does he believe he is in a different class to his opponents and using them as a sparring session.

Either way, when the time comes I think we will see the Fury's killer instinct when he gets pushed in the ring by better opponents.
