I'm not all that excited about this Cotto fight. It's one of the weaker fights of a terrific December. Looking at Trouts record, he hasn't really beaten anyone. It's a filler fight really.

It gets Cotto a belt which puts him in a much better negotiating position for likely Canelo next.

But if Cotto blows this guy away in a few rounds tonight will Canelo's people still be so keen?
