I like Fury, and he's taken some good, testing fights thus far, but if he is serious about facing Vitali or Wlad next year he needs to step up in class in a huge way in the future. What could Fury do to prepare? Find a technically adept, tall, rangy, power punching boxer who will be busy enough to push him. I can't think of any current heavyweight that would be better preparation than Price, which is why it baffles me that team Fury aren't chasing this to the ends of the earth.

David Haye didnt want to fight Johnson a few years ago when he moved to heavy. Beating Johnson convincingly over 12 is far more impressive than stopping Skelton in 2. Price had some jittery moments when Skelton came forward. There is a reason Maloney wont move him up in class, hes shit scared of that jaw. Its like having a Ferrari with glass tyres.

Price didn't have jittery moments when Skelton came forward, apart from in the eyes of the uninitiated and the poisonously biased. Still, at least Skelton came forward, unlike Johnson.

I don't want to criticise Fury for the Johnson fight, because last minute opponents are hard to find, but I'm confused how anybody can be impressed by a landslide victory over an opponent who doesn't fight back and whose sole claim to fame is he went 12 rounds with the champ years ago and didn't get knocked out whilst throwing no punches then either.
