The poor bastard, it has to be about the money. I don't understand divorce settlements that can wipe out a man whose career has a short shelf life. That should be considered. Too many of these fighters go broke, but really they should be a bit more savvy. Life isn't a game and things do go horribly wrong. Always have a plan B. This is not a good plan B.

Who ca...ah, beat me to it. It pays to have connections...literally.

We needs to rent a bus and round up Hopkins, Holyfield, Jones, Page, Mosley and about 50 others and drive them to the next Jobs fair in the local community. And lock them in.

Indeed. A very common thread in this sport. Look at Holyfield. HTF does one make 200 million and wake-up broke? I know he has all those kids but 200 mil...

Mosley made a big mistake when he married that whore Jen. But an even bigger mistake was leaving Golden Boy. He had it made at Golden Boy. He had steady income coming in while doing less work than Oscar. He ain't got shit now.

With that said, it wouldn't surprise me if he beat Malinaggi

I don't think it's money, he had some big paydays after he got divorced and he should be fine financially. I think it's more that he's bored and Paulie didn't look too good last time out. Add on the fact that he's got a belt and is a powderpuff puncher and his fight with Hatton fell through then Mosley is a decent alternative for Paulie. And not bad for Mosley if he can come back at whatever age he is and win a belt.

Whilst I agree Shane should stick to his word and stay retired I think he has a good chance against Paulie, who is just a B level fighter holding a world title ready to be given away to the next world class fighter he meets. However would Shane call it a day after that? No way he will then try and take on Bradley, JMM, Alexander/Brooks and maybe Khan.

Shane looked old against Saul Alvarez but he needs to blame himself and no body else for his failings.
