I don't think it's money, he had some big paydays after he got divorced and he should be fine financially. I think it's more that he's bored and Paulie didn't look too good last time out. Add on the fact that he's got a belt and is a powderpuff puncher and his fight with Hatton fell through then Mosley is a decent alternative for Paulie. And not bad for Mosley if he can come back at whatever age he is and win a belt.

Whilst I agree Shane should stick to his word and stay retired I think he has a good chance against Paulie, who is just a B level fighter holding a world title ready to be given away to the next world class fighter he meets. However would Shane call it a day after that? No way he will then try and take on Bradley, JMM, Alexander/Brooks and maybe Khan.

Shane looked old against Saul Alvarez but he needs to blame himself and no body else for his failings.

I would pick him over Paulie any day. This seem's like an easy way to get a strap. Why not take advantage of it but after that hang em up. End you career on a high.

Shame that's not the way it works and if he does fight and beat Paulie he will get this false hope he can compete with the top dogs. He will be retiring on a low like before.

Arum seduced Shane to leave GBP so that he could fight Pac Man. Shane took the gamble and has only himself to blame.

He can beat paulie... but line him up against anyone better and he'll be back to touching gloves and making friends over imaginary fouls every 5 seconds so he can catch a break and survive. He should have been smarter about letting his wife control his career.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
