How does a judges scorecard change like that?
Adamek vs Cunningham on NBC brought to you by Dana White.
Have we got any more fights tonight?
I don't think it's a robbery, although I did have Cunningham winning the fight. He displayed great ring generalship, was able to slip and move around the more heavy handed but less mobile and less active Adamek, and landed cleaner more effective punches consistently over the whole round-every round.
I wanted Adamek to win and can see how the judges scored it for him. He landed harder shots, came forward more and pressed the action at the end of rounds. The judges were impressed by his aggression.
The shame is the reading of the cards. A new fan may now think boxing is a corrupt joke. A casual fan is reminded that boxing is probably a corrupt joke. While die hard fans who already know boxing is a corrupt joke are just embarrassed for the millionth time.
Great fight tho!
I think that's the third time I've seen cards changed in the ring. That was a close fight that could have gone either way depending on the judges. I was happy with the final decision.
Too bad Hamer quit on his stool but everyone knows how much they are willing to take, it's his life.
I had Adamek winning the fight 7-5 in rounds...
A very close fight that could have gone either way.
This is NOT a robbery so please people don't start with that.
Most rounds were really close only a few rounds were clear on who won.
A win to either guy or a draw would have been a good result as well.
