Interesting that Taylor said that even on his very best form, he could lose to MVG.
I'd love to know MVGs average not counting doble attempts, because he consistently averages 100 whilst still missing a huge amount of doubles. Incredible stat that against Lewis MVG hit 30 more treble 20s than he did single 20s in the 10 sets.

MVG going from the greatest talent darts had ever seen to a journeyman was seriously sad. It's absolutely awesome he finally realised his potential.

Win or lose he's been the best player in the world for 6 months. And definitely the most exciting (imo).

Agreed . I still can't believe MVG is only 23. I remember him appearing on scene a few years ago with all the hype and then becoming an 'also ran' almost overnight.

It's MVG's to lose - if he copes mentally. If he gets away early he will hammer Taylor. If Taylor gets away mind I fancy him to do it. Definitely not the Taylor of old - his first dart is awful and I never seen him hit so many 5s and 7s etc...

Looking forward to tomorrow.

As for the Barney spat, I think Taylor was being a prick. I see he has apologised this morning and said it's his fault and he is embarrassed about it. All Barney said was he wasn't afraid - no malice. Dave Clark at Sky did his own bit of mixing there mind.

At this stage I will say - Taylor, Lewis, Wade, MVG, Barney, Whitlock....and two others......probably Anderson (they need a Scot in there) and Hamilton (Newton an outsiide chance ??)

I think Anderson is automatically in because of his ranking. Either Newton or Hamilton will miss out

Always admired Taylor as a player,unbelievable player greatest player ever,but i find
him so boring when he is interviewed,he seems so fucking fake imo,he comes across

Me too. The crowd make the hairs stand on the back of your neck. I remember when Barney was the first one to get a nine darter. It was truly amazing. Makes me wanna get up off my arse and get to the Ally Pally.
