Thread: Boxing does well on US network TV

    I didn't realize my post was gonna create World War III

    Hopefully this doesn't start anything....according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated the Adamek-Cunningham rematch registered 3.2 million viewers on NBC.

    Excellent news for Boxing...especially considering NBC had no commercials prior saying a live card would be shown at that time. To my knowledge at least.

    Compare these numbers to what the UFC gets in primetime.
    UFC on FOX 5 pulls 3.41 million viewers in overnight television ratings - MMA Fighting

    I think it's safe to say there will be more boxing on network TV this year

    To be fair to Canelo the quality of Jr's opposition was, well to put it lightly much better. He was getting his ass handed to him by the the man of the division.
