Toney's a slurring, blubbery, old, washed up has-been.
Other than that, I got no problem with the man.

Well, I do with you . So watch it.

Haha. I'm a fellow James Toney fan, to the point where I'd probably cite him as my favorite of all time.
I say the Toney of 2003-2006, the one who whipped Holyfield and got robbed against Sam Peter, would have made guys like Haye eat their balls.
BUT, I have to say, the thought of him getting in there with a top 10 guy now is kinda scary. Years ago he struggled against fringe guys like Rahman and Oquendo, and that was 5 years ago. He looked awful against Lebedev, and his handspeed and reflexes have taken a bad dive over hte past few years.
I'd rather see him retire without a KO loss on his record. I think Haye would give him a brutal one at this point.

It would be a sight to see to watch an old, shot, fat, bloated 5'9" 250 lb James Toney fight a giant 6'6" 250 lb muscle bound Ukrainian like Wladimir Klitschko
Would definitely be a freak show ...

Toney needs to be knocked out to make him realise that its time to call it a day.
Miles... I know you have an inexplicable level of adoration for Toney... but come on. That's pretty weak logic.
If it were any worse then it would be the same as saying that you can't prove that we can't prove who would win a sprint until Toney runs 100m against Usain Bolt.
When you get fighters at a similar level in their careers you can say such things, but Toney is so ruined that it is no where near close enough to make such assertions.
Before you say 'you can never bne 100% certain', you're right... but you can be more than certain enough!![]()
You know I am tired of these older fighters (and younger ones too) who sit around claiming that they are being ignored or avoided. Mush for brains Holyfield I think finally got the message that no one worthwhile was going to give him a fight because it wouldn't mean a damn thing unless they killed him in the ring. Which going by his current financial siuation might not be a bad idea for Evander. At least Heaven wouldn't be sueing him for back taxes. Toney is totally washed up and needs to shut up. His record is based on the past and not on his current abilities. And speaking of crybabies on the younger side David Haye PLEASE SHUT UP AND RETIRE ALREADY!
Just my two cents worth.

All I want is for someone in the top 10 top put him out of his misery if that is the consensus. I've got no issues with people thinking Toney is done, but let me see it with my own eyes and without blatant leg injuries. Just someone in the top 20 then, just someone call that man and let him prove for himself if he can put on a show or not.
He loses and it is done, accepted. But Toney has been wronged. He beat Rahman and Rahman got a shot, everyone avoids him because he 'is old', the truth is Toney is just too testy and no younger fighter wants to be embarrarred.
