Iron Mike is top 5 in power all time, in my opinion.

But I think he is the most devastating puncher of all time ... he could literally KO you with any punch in his repertoire ... and he had no problem throwing any kind of punch from any kind of angle ... and the combos he would throw were ungodly and had never existed before in the heavyweight division.

Combine that with the natural speed and power as well as the technique he would employ and you have the most devastating puncher of all time.

The uppercut he throws here MAY be the most powerful punch I've ever seen

Here it is at 11 minutes and 51 seconds

Same fight against Ribalta he rips a lightning fast combo at 33m and 30s

Possibly the best I've ever seen from a heavyweight

He was destroying people that super punchers like Foreman went 12 full rounds with ... and scraped by with a SD victory. Foreman beat Lou Savarese in a 12 round SD yet Tyson annihilated him with a single punch, through his guard:

Tyson had great technique which included speed, accuracy, timing and power. Raw power would be Bruno, Foreman and Rocky.

Heavyweight you have to go Foreman, Shavers and Tyson. In terms of raw power, it's hard not to go with George. He was knocking out young guns when he was in his mid to late 40s! But consensus says Shavers was the bigger puncher, according to guys who would know like Ali.

I think an underrated puncher is Merqui Sosa. James Toney said he was the hardest puncher he'd ever faced, and James has been in with some guys who can bang.

Power is the last thing that leaves you.

Foreman still had power at 43.

Good point but Tyson blew out his knee in round 1.

Foreman was just an arm puncher and used brute power ... he didn't rely on speed and technique like Tyson.

Danny Williams will probably tell you that he was the hardest puncher he ever fought. In fact he does:

Danny Williams: “Because this is a fight I’ve been asking for for years. I’ve been boxing at British level for many years, fighting C class opponents. I’ve always wanted to fight the top Americans. And I had the opportunity against Mike Tyson. And I said I’m going to take it with both hands. In my mind, you had to kill me to beat me. ‘Cause I was going out, I was going to leave everything in the ring.”

BoxingInsider.com: So you’ve been waiting years and years for this chance?

Danny Williams: “Yeah, definitely. You could see it in there. Tyson was really giving it to me for the first three rounds. But I wouldn’t give up, I’m there to win.”

BoxingInsider.com: Were those the hardest punches you ever took?

Danny Williams: “OH EASY, BY FAR! He was really sinking them in. Really, really a powerful guy. It’s amazing a guy of that size, that stature, could throw such powerful punches.”

you will as find that fighters tell u the guy they beat hit the hardest , or was the fastest , or was the best , for the reason - they beat them , Vitali used williams as a chopping block and we all saw what his power did, it blew him away with ease , so are we concluding Vitali blew him away with softer punches ? .

Joe Louis was, far and away, the best puncher ever, in my opinion. Danny Romero was also a great puncher, great technique, just couldn't hit Tapia (and a few others)
