Timing made this fight impossible.

Pryor only became viable as a Leonard opponent post ArguelloI, and by that time Leonard had retired, and Pryor was only a year away from damaging his eye and pretty much ending his 'world class' career himself.
Who damaged his eye? Was THAT why he got knocked out because he was blind in one eye?
He injured his eye in sparring for the Arguello rematch, kept it quiet and retired after the fight... but then the demons really kicked in
