I don't care how big, strong and tough you are. You're not going to take a flush spinning kick to the chin and stay conscious.

LOL. So what? Maskaev stopped VK in the amateurs! Kickboxing is not even the same sport, so who cares? Michael Jordan didn't look so hot as a baseball player either, but it doesn't affect his legacy as a basketballer.

Wake me when you find footage of someone knocking VK out in a boxing ring, something that happened many moons ago in a kickboxing competition is not relevant.

Someone post the fight where Orlin Norris kayoed Pele Reid in 1 round. That has relevance on here.

The hatred on SB for K2 is astounding and quite pitiful really. I could understand it if they were just 'a flash in the pan' but it's been a decade of dominance now. Haters are getting old.

I think it speaks even more highly of Vitali to make the transition from kickboxing to boxing and reach such a high level. Kickboxers obviously don't have near the punching skill that a boxer does, and they are used to fighting at a different range than boxers (kicking range rather than punching range). In kickboxing you also get used to keeping guys away with front kicks, so in order to become the champ he was, Vitali had to un-learn a TON of kickboxing habits. I'm surprised over the years he never kicked someone just on instinct in a boxing match.
