great 1 punch ko thats 10 1st rounds kos for matthysse
Has Matthysse ever been put down?
Matthysse hit Dallas so hard I was hurt by it in my living room.
Pow right in the kissa
For those of you who missed it, here's the full fight, including the post fight interview:
I wasn't expecting the KO to come so quickly.
Nice to see Matthysse raising his profile with such a spectacular performance. We'll see him back on Showtime soon.
Good win, but I think a knockout like that makes you doubt somewhat in terms of skillsets. Basically we didn't see anything beyond a hard knockout punch. Dallas is nobody special and so that detracts from the significance.
Mattysse is a very good fighter, but they are trying to hype on quick KO's more than anything meaningful showed in terms of skill, that would be effective against the best in the division.
I think he is great fun, but I am easy on the hype.
Total disagreement. When you have an inferior opponent in front of you, it's almost expected that you score an early KO. Letting one hang around for 12 rounds can take away some of your luster. Lucas isn't solely a 1-round KO wonder. He has 10-round and an 8-round TKO victories on his record, as well as a couple of grueling, disputed split decision losses, in which the victor was knocked down at least once in each of the fights. These are the only blemishes on his record.
Matthysse is the real deal.
