Don't believe it. What a rubbish fight...... If this crap actually goes ahead I'd like to see GBP donate Maidana to the undercard and have a Brook vs Maidana fight. Good fight.

This had better be bullshit. Depends what Brook/Hearn say. If this is true they had to pay Brook step aside money. If Brook/Hearn don't know about this then it's bullshit. Also, too, existing contract.

Is this the same former junior welterweight that quit against Bradley, and lost to Matthysse and Kotelnik? The same guy who grunts a lot when he fights? Unfortunately, the only compelling match-ups for Floyd are with guys above 147. Trout, Canelo, Martinez, Lara, these are all better fights than Alexander.

Basically this I mean alexander really isn't all that good, even before he quit against bradley he was made to look like shit. Also he got two hometown decisions but ya know since it happened in america and not germany not a big deal is made out of it...shit fight simply.

I really don't believe that Devon Alexander is facing Floyd Mayweather. This is Mayweather having fun.

Floyds at a big disadvantage north of 147.

Why should he risk that at his age.

He should stay at 147 for the rest of his career and finish 47-0

    Are you kidding?

Surely boxing fans want to watch the BEST possible match-ups, even if you're a huge fan of the particular fighter? You would really prefer Floyd dosses around at 147 - beating Alexander/Bradley/Marquez, fights that are over before they even start - than challenge Martinez or Alvarez or any fucking one that makes us think they have a slight CHANCE!!!

Floyd will never fight a top rank fighter.

Martinez should step up to 168 and fight ward instead of picking on the little guys (chavez was massive so whats the excuse not to move up!?)

Canelo can grow some balls and fight trout (the guy who beat cotto AND his brother!)

Floyds the money pot. If these guys really want to make waves, drop to 147 and beat the best at it. (150 could be possible)

Yes, i want the best fights fenster but i cant see floyd disadvantage himself yet again for a martinez or canelo fight at there weight divison.

I have no issues with this fight if it actually gets made. Never thought it had a chance because they are buddies like Ward and Dirrell. Not sure why people are writing it off as some escape route. Kinda comical really.

Hearn has a pretty iron clad hold on the fight.

Number 1 we have a signed contract to fight Devon Alexander for the IBF Title. Number 2 If they want Alexander v Mayweather to be a unification they would have to ask for an exemption from the IBF which is very unlikely given we already have signed contracts AND any exemption would have to take place within 90 days of last bout. We questioned the injury and now we await news from Golden Boy which, given the news that they are looking to enter the UK promoting market should be interesting. We will fight tooth and nail for Kelvin Brook and thanks for your support.

I would have preferred the Guerrero fight to this one, I don't think Alexander is worthy of being a Mayweather opponent. I think he should fight Brook, that would have been a cracking fight.

I think Bradley is more deserving than Alexander for a fight with Mayweather. Why isn't Mayweather fighting Guerrero anymore??

In terms of how this fight would go, Mayweather will school him.

The IBF say no to the unification fight because of the Brook situation and rightfully so IMO.
