I remember the Wlad fight, the one where he ran for 12 rounds and didn't throw a single punch. The fight in which we all realised that he had no bottle or boxing ability at all and he was no better than a celebrity. I particularly remember him having no bottle and cowering in the face of the masterful and immovable Wladimir. I remember just how cautious and meek he was like a little mouse in awe of the giant big scary man.

Seriously though YES he disappointed and did not live up to the hype, but the fact is the task was much harder than he anticipated. Wlad is hard to catch and when you do which Haye did a couple of times he does not crumble. He is not invincible but I think It will take another similarly huge AND in condition guy to dent Wlad. It is not on the jaw but @TitoFan check 0:50 seconds in and that is a flush shot connecting. The problem is ,to do so, Haye is leaping up and sacrificing his power. Much too low a work rate and yes Haye is easily distracted and not IN LOVE with boxing, but the way people have written off his talents is as much to do with the unrealisitic HYPE job he did promo wise ,pre fight, and we should all know by now that many boxers have and will continue to do that.

I saw that... it was in the 3rd round, I believe. Wlad was moving back, but still caught a roundhouse right on the face. As much as I was disappointed in Haye's effort, with all the pre-fight hype and all, I was also disappointed in Wlad's. The amount of ground he covers while leaping back from a punch, arms flailing, is amazing. He must travel half the ring in a single bound. Some call it defense. Oh well... And yeah... it'll take a guy of similar size (and with the will to fight) to test Wlad.
Haye would have more fans (and win some back) if he had a different attitude toward boxing. You're either all in or all out. This BS of "it's either the Klitschkos or nothing", is detrimental to a division that hardly needs any more negativity. No one doubts Haye is talented... but talent alone won't get the job done.
