Why is crime so high in England?

According to the 2nd amendment people in the USA, it's because you guys took away all the handguns.

Round were I live, I would hate people having gun's they are nasty enough without gun, Friday and
Saturday nights there would be more dead body's than soft Mick.

Savages shouldn't be allowed to have guns...leave those to the Americans, we'll gladly take your weapons

Crime is costing too much for the state. It costs over £40,000 a year to keep a person in prison. The 85,000 prisoners are at full capacity. They have instructed courts not to send them into prison unless they are highly dangerous. Police have introduced community resolutions which have resulted in less convictions in courts which is why crime is down.

Do you think you should have bail, for highly dangerous people or we protect the public from these type
of people or is it Innocent till proven guilty.!
I no one crime they send you down for tax evasion, by by now that's a crime they find room for you

3. The Government does not import people they move about in a place of free enterprise called Europe, today I had the pleasure of working with one who kicks the ass of every Englishman within 400 miles and charges way more. Go Figure.
4.The total result is a more multifaceted population with less 70's moustaches, rampant racism and general wife/children beating.
5. Therefore England is a wonderful place to live and living in the second largest city on the south coast I do not recognise the Urban hell hole you describe.

WELFARE perhaps? I know it has obliterated the very idea of a two parent household in the African-American community in the US....but hey so what if the "War on Poverty" did more harm than good. the intentions were good & that's all that matters. Government CAN be everything to you...if you just submit to it . I'm quite sure England has suffered these results for similar reasons.

The "War on Poverty" has done the most damage to that community

In 1963, 77% of black children were born to families with both a father and a mother. Today, nearly 70% of black children are born out of wedlock.

Children born into single parent homes are:
* More than twice as likely to be arrested for a juvenile crime

* Three times more likely to end up in jail by the time they reach age 30

* Twice as likely to be treated for emotional and behavioral problems

* Roughly twice as likely to be suspended or expelled from school

* A third more likely to drop out before completing high school

* Girls from single-parent homes are more than twice as likely to have a child without being married, thereby repeating the negative cycle for another generation.

* Children living in single parent homes are 50 percent more likely to experience poverty as adults when compared to children from intact married homes.

And WELFARE has caused that because the Government becomes the "Baby Daddy"
