I'd still back him to stop Fury 9 times out of ten.

Even after this I see him beating fury, fury dam near knocked himself out, I don't care if it was years ago if you're a professional you don't upercut yourself.

I'm sure he will come back but first step up from domestic level was an epic fail. The twat fury is on the verge of a world title fight plus 4 years younger.

I can see a price audley rematch

Price never even got the chance to learn how to cope with pressure, he looked a little odd in the sexton and skelton fights at points but even then, the punch he got caught with wasn't big! Anyone who was a level above a retired british level journeyman would have wiped the floor with him. Rolling around on his back like a turtle

Don't try and fool yourselves that Fury wouldn't have done exactly the same. Thompson took Prices best shots and he's miles away from being in shape...

I did have big doubts about Price because of the dire opponents he's faced in the past, but I really couldn't have predicted that. I am pretty shocked to say the least.

On this evidence, you've got to make Fury favourite to beat him. In fact, I don't think he could handle the likes of Chisora and certainly not Haye. From being the next heavyweight champion of the world, he's now not even in the top 3 heavyweights in the UK.

I really don't think Price can come back from this. If Thompson can knock him out with a single punch, I certainly don't like his chances against any credible opponent.

He got banged out. Fact is he was a glorified bum.
That's it, he done well to get this far, his size is the reason he wins.

That is a bit harsh - he has big power and he knocks out just about everyone he fights. However, there were questions about his chin, and he didn't get the chance to land enough clean shots on Thompson to make a dent.

He can learn from this. Some times punches come back at you from strange angles - probably a good idea to err on the side of caution.
