The problem Price has, is his chin has let him down before.

But he is an excellent offensive fighter, who uses his physical tools well. Maybe he needs to look at someone like Wlad to find an example of how to deal with a potentially soft chin.

On the plus side; in the warped boxing world we live in, maybe this defeat could open the door to good money fights. If the likes of Fury et al feel even if behind on the scorecards that one bomb on Price's chin wins them the fight, maybe they will do business.

Price is going to have to live with this defeat, it will always be thrown in his face by some. He has to deal with that, but providing he can get over any doubts he has, it should not be a huge issue.

A 16 fight prospect taking a merciless beating is potentially damaging; a 16 fight prospect walking into a punch from a pretty decent fighter, is, providing the fighter gets over it psychologically, at worse a bit embarrassing.
A pretty good summary of the fight and Prices future . I do think lots of guys will now try to jump on Price to get to him before he lands any of his bombs.
Should be exciting in the future.

Who does Price have to fight now, does he double back and face old opponents or face other American heavyweights.

Long-long way off a heavyweight shot.

Fallout from this fight will make or break Price, I am doubtful if he can be a Championship contender after this.

He's back to domestic level again now and Fury will probably march on into a beating from Wlad now.

What is most worrying is that it wasn't even a flush shot to the chin, it was a clubbed shot. I'm sure it hurt more than it looked, but you would expect a heavyweight champ to be able to take a shot like that and recover.

I think he needs to fight Chisora, that will be a tough test for Price but I don't think it will prove much if he knocks out an easy opponent again. He needs to keep testing himself. I do think the shot that landed was a lucky shot and I think if Thompson landed on that on Prices chin he wouldn't have gone down. The shot landed on the eardrum and perforated the eardrum and he lost his balance, it could have happened to any fighter. But Price shouldn't have allowed Thompson to land the shot. But Price took the loss like a man and he will learn from it and I think he will bounce back. Price will have to work on his defence but this is a disappointing set back for Price.

I read Frank Maloney went to hospital after the fight, that's not good to hear, does anybody know how he's getting on? I hope he makes a fast recovery.

I hope Thompson's weight gain and KO of Price doesn't lead to a crop of lard assed heavyweights. I'm just thinking ahead and saying.......

Thompson's Theorem states that the waves of rolling fat produced by punches are acting as shock absorbers. It's a radical concept, but seems to be working for Thompson.
Thompson says he's going to pack another 30-40 pounds and make another run at Wlad.
