Hi SB. If you've damaged one of the ligaments which holds the shoulder joints in place ( e.g. glenohumeral, acromioclavicular) you're going to be out for at least 8 weeks. Your rotator cuff is made of muscles which rotate the shoulder blade and stabilise your arm. If you've damaged one of these muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus,teres minor,subscapularus) or their tendons you need to stretch and strengthen them to prevent the injury recurring.

I've been bothered with rotator cuff injuries in the past and if you don't deal with them properly and slowly they can come back to haunt you. Give it plenty of time.
