Urango confirms Hatton fight!!!

I hope this is just a stepping stone type fight for Hatton, trying to re-adjust back at 140 on the way to a showndown with Castillo.

why does he need an easy fight to "re-adjust back" to his normal weight that he only left for a single fight? it's not like RJJ or Tarver putting on 30-40 pounds of muscle. the guy went up SEVEN POUNDS--he walks around much heavier anyway.

i'm guessing they couldn't schedule castillo right away, but they better be fighting him soon.

That's what I mean, he drops back down against Urango defends his championship stays active along the way teeing up for Castillo. Obviously you've never had to make weight, but it's one of the hardest things to do. If Hatton did not take this tune up fight before Castillo he would only be hurting himself. Like you say he only went up seven pounds but that was at weigh in, he would have been a lot heavier by fight time & put that onto the time from then til now & thats a lot of weight to cut for a big for. Better to take a warm up fight get adjusted & comfortable back at the weight then go after Castillo.

I don't know--I hear about him supposedly walking around at 170 all the time when he's fighting at 140. I find it very hard to believe that it's going to be any different/harder this time, just because he fought a single fight at a slightly higher weight than he usually fights at (but still much a MUCH lower weight than the weight at which he has supposedly always walked around). And I know muscle's harder to drop than fat, etc., but I can guarantee you that he lost that muscle long ago amid the pints.

Ha ha cc bro, I am one who would love to see the Castillo fight next, but if he's taking a warm-up 1st then it better be straight after that or I'll be disappointed!!!

CC, agreed. Castillo may well get suspended for a short time now anyway, so it's doubtful they could have set that up right away. But I do really want to see that one.
