But let's look at it though- why not Audley? Audley is a good step up for Wilder, considering Wilder hasn't fought anyone even closely of the calibre- if we count amatuer pedigree- of Audley, aside from Kertson Manswell.
The last fight Wilder had was against Kelvin Price, a prospect whom he demolished. But an over-blown and over-hyped prospect in Kelvin Price.
This Audley fight is actually a good step up for Wilder. Real talk! Audley was in there with Haye, Price, Sprott, Francis, Guinn, Rossy and Williams. More experience in those few fight and losses than Wilder has on his entire resume of fights PLUS the amatuers.
I don't expect Wilder to go walking back to bums- unless no one else wants to fight him- after the Audley fight. He knows this is the no-stepping backwards fight for him IF he wins.
