I never ignored squat. I said that many listed had less then stellar pasts be it Oscar wearing nylons, coking out with hookers or Holyfields 30 kids with about 8 different women. I merely assumed that most knew what "less then stellar" means. I listed the others because many many fighters throughout history make Broner look like a boy scout.
This Broner stuff is not an "act"
That's him being his repulsive arsehole self, however, his team are playing it up because they know it sells. Millions of kids idolise cunts like this, and the rest of the worlds population want to see him get ironed out. Win win.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
The difference between Fury and Broner is (apart from the huge gulf in actual boxing ability) - Fury is a complete and utter clown, whether you like him or hate him no-one thinks he's a possible boxing great.
Broner is potentially a great fighter, and therefore is taken seriously, which brings his antics under more scrutiny
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
He doesn't have Floyd's skill set or professionalism at the same stage of their careers. Broner could dream as big as he wants...but if he gets sparked and loses...no one will care about his act. I am not hating on the guy for being a douche bag to sell tickets. That is business. I am just reminding people that Floyd was already a supremely skilled and accomplished fighter before he became "Money." Broner is untested and already thinks he is the heir apparent. We shall see.
I agree. The elite world-class out-of-the-ring stuff doesn't mean anything unless he keeps winning inside the ring and he's nowhere near as good at the not-getting-hit part of boxing as Mayweather was in his prime. Broner is going to take punches against everybody he fights (even funking Rees hit him plenty) and eventually he's going to have to fight punchers.
And I agree about the NSFW bit. I work from home and it's still NSFW.

Its def geared towards a reaction but also speaks to what a childish douche he is. Tyson put butts in seats by pulverizing people early on. As with Ali I think the dislike was as much for his loudmouth and showboat as it was his stance on politics and speaking out for what he believed. It went alot deeper than just being a complete and utter clown in the public eye.
Personally in my lifetime the fighter I once wanted to see blasted the most was Pernell whitaker. Not for his attitude or antics begging for attention but what and how he fought in the ring. Watching Nelson be literally clowned with was infuriating. I don't want Broner knocked down a peg because his mouth, though its pathetic, but because he just hasn't done nearly enough to believe hes a great as people make him out to be. Hes trying to have a career in reverse.
Broner isn't a heavyweight, isn't Hispanic so doesn't get mass support from boxing's biggest demographic and isn't white. That leaves RJJ and Manny on your list. RJJ never did anything special on PPV and Manny only became a superstar when he moved up in weight and beat Fishnets. If Broner ever does fight and beat Floyd in a big PPV event then he'll go on to do Floyd-type PPV numbers too.
And that's what this is about. Taking a black kid from the projects whose commercial potential is greatly limited by those and other factors and turning him into a money machine that makes him and his handlers hundreds of millions of dollars. Broner would make videos of him eating his own shit if it was going to get him where he wanted to go.
You know if I saw Broner in person I'd probably say hey Adrien the village called and they want their idiot back. He's the class clown or jailhouse goof. He over plays his hand. I agree that he needs to do a lot more then he has. I think the potential is there so we will see. He tried to get Burns twice but to no avail which is certainly not his fault. Now he's jumping direct to 147. All I can say is that I am not personally offended by or bothered by his screen performances. He's a character no doubt.
Justin Beiber is a white celebrity that does this crap.
