Donaire just seemed lost for the majority of the fight.
Considering the circumstances, if I were generous then the fight would be 3 to 9 in Rigo's favor. The way I see it, Donaire only clearly won the KD round. Every other round Rigo either clearly won or they both got lost in subjectivity due to how inactive both fighters were.
Simply put, Donaire blew it. He didn't dig deep enough. It's such a shame because he has the skill set to AT LEAST make this a more competitive fight, a more even fight. Rigo pulled out the same tricks and Donaire kept playing into them over and over. Donaire would throw lazy jabs and Rigo would make him pay for it. Donaire keeps swiping his left hook over the top of Rigo's head, Rigo would pivot out, sometimes getting away with a hit before he ghosted.
I'm going to go so far as to say Rigo got knocked down partly because of Donaire's power and partly because Rigo was expecting a break. Because he was not seriously hurt.
This fight was not close.
