Excuses, excuses.
The very nature of the sport means fighters going into a fight always have an injury or they're sick or there's a family problem or some other problem.
When they win while sick or injured, it doesn't seem to be a factor, but if they lose, people start with the excuses.
When the PRIME Mike Tyson knocked trevor berbick's brains out to claim his 1st title, Tyson was p!$$ing fire from The Clap which he picked up from some hoor somewhere. Didn't impact Tyson's performance nor preparation not one f*<kin' bit!
It doesn't matter.
For the Buster fight, Tyson was almost 24 years old, had been boxing since 12 years old, and knew the realities better than any fan of not coming in prepared. He knew his responsibilities as a fighter, and if you don't prepare, it's your @$$. People thought Tyson was invincible, but the man himself always knew better and knew he was just a man, and his own fears were inside since he was a kid, knowing these guys could tear him apart if he weren't prepared. He was ready for Douglas, you can bank on that.
If anything, it was Buster who had been sick, taking antihistamine medication for bronchitis.
