It was 10-8 round, a knockdown makes it a 10-8 round and it was a good straight right hand that rocked Trout, but apart from the knockdown Canelo didn't do anything else. Trout recovered well and under normal circumstances would've taken the round.

It was definitely a 10-8 round.
Al Bernstein tends to question it when he's rooting for the fighter who gets knocked down. He can be annoying by times.
The only 10-9 (after KD) in my recollection is Marques vs Barrera. Barrera is almost out on his feet and boom he throws a sharp straight to KD Marquez. That would be a 10-9 Barrera round.
Well he did hit marquez after Marquez was clearly down, so the point deduction was fair but the KD was so clear I still can't believe the ref missed it.
By the way, that really was a great fight.
Remember Holyfield battered Cooper and got heavily knocked down but still got up to batter Bert in the same round. That could have been a 10-9 or even 10-10. Also Bowe knocking down Holyfield in the 10th round of their fight could have been scored the same.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
