Lyle A lot is going on. Global warming is a way of government getting to tax us on the air we breathe out and our farts and that of cows and industrial emissions etc, because they have never been able to work out how to tax us on the air we breathe in.
we already know what these assholes are up to they pay their own teams of scientists 'on both sides' to find evidence to prove their side correct. So that probably off sets the costs (our extra emission taxes) too. we know how they work,the assholes.

That said there are changes in nature occurring and we are part of it as well, the sea is the key to our temperatures too. Not just the bullshit we put into the earth via chemical agriculture ,your rubbish is dumped into the sea off New York theres an island of it out there out of sight boat loads go out to it. There is a 20 mile wide flotilla of western crap thats caught in a current out in the deepest oceans as well. The oil extracted out of Earth could cause pressure but there scientists paid to also prove that isnt the case and yet that natural coling agent is still being pumped out of a hot lava filled planet thats outer shell revolves around its liquid core.Then the oil is put back up into the air and washed into the oceans off the streets from cars etc.Then we over fish them,meanwhile ozone is depleted and major reefs die off reversing currents and also having effects on weather, it all adds up. You have to look more broadly at the whole picture instead of just into politics on who or whats to blame in one little area for right or wrong.

Pointing the finger politically helps nothing but our own conscious for being a part of the destruction. On both sides. It (the argument is inane and insane) even the cost of proving and disproving, is in its self evasive to real action to correct our part of it faster and cost effective.

The point I am trying to make Andre is that Scientists and Politicians need to stop treating the populous like babies. Minutes after the tornado touched down in Oklahoma some schmuck liberal was out bashing Republicans about the perils of Anthropogenic Global Warming, like if everyone walked to work that day there wouldn't have been a tornado it's so disingenuous, so smug, so fucking high & mighty to claim that HUMANS CAUSE THE WEATHER....if that actually WAS the case then everyone would take San Diego's weather. (but humans DON'T control the weather....much less the climate)

It chaps my ass when people get up in arms about Anthropogenic Global Warming for a variety of reasons mainly this idea that bad weather can be prevented is along the same lines of the people who used to believe sacrificing virgins would bring good weather....its the same basic premise but do the liberals see the folly of the view? Do they see their hubris? Oh gracious no they just see people who "don't care enough".

Listen I love the environment, I love wildlife, I don't want any of that to go away, I want generation after generation to enjoy it, but I WILL lead a life in which I make use of the technology that is offered to the human species. Al Gore flies to lectures on a private jet, he sells his television network to Oil barons from Qatar and nobody calls him out on it.....does HIS carbon footprint not lead to global warming

I don't give two shits about Al Gore or about your views on global warming are, but does it not occur to you that perhaps Al Gore feels that by flying to various lectures around the world and by getting his perspectives broadcast to as many people as possible that he can have a potentially massive impact on the way people live their lives and thus reduce emissions on a scale that makes his contribution to this problem negligible?

It's a completely reasonable position for him to have and only someone who was completely bereft of the ability to think even semi-critically would not understand it.

I just find it odd, especially for people who claim to love science so fucking much for them to basically claim that if everyone just walked to work and there were no cars, no factories, no carbon emissions at all that there would be no such storms as the one that hit Oklahoma......on second thought I don't find that odd, I find that idiotic.... incredibly so.
