I don't think it is impossible at all...if the guy knows how to fight, and how to use his lack of height as effectively as Steward taught Wlad to use his height. There is a couple ways to do that, to be short(er) and get in close. Alas, all they teach in these bleak times is to walk straight forward with your gloves up.
You have to either come in low, drawing leads and using them to get closer and counter...or you need to get small and make them reach, knowing your distances. How you fight that fight depends on what your guy brings to the table, and, with Wlad, it isn't easy because he always steps back to maintain that distance...and why? he doesn't take it well, is my thought.
