One guy has the respect of the entire boxing world, is fighting in a PPV event, in a 20,000 seat sold out venue and being screened live on HBO.
The other guy has never faced a single fighter that has fought for a "world" title and fights in front of one man and his dog.
I wonder who Hopkins would make more dough against?
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
What I find more odd is that Hopkins calls out Bute and Froch, good super middleweights, but doesn't call out Ward. Ward has stated he's willing to face Bhop.
Cleverly is being cleverly steered to keep his 0 forever,
I think Hopkins style wise would stand a better chance of beating Froch as Cleverly has what it takes to beat Hopkins which is a high work rate and fast hands. Froch can be out boxed as Ward has shown, so Bernard is being cute with his choice of opponent.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Hopkins doesn't want to fight Ward right now because he knows he can't win. That is why he's stated he could never fight him and admires him and alll this. Its a bit of a SRL mind fuck like he pulled before facing Hagler, the infamous "But...it'll never happen" speech.
But, you better believe that if Hopkins sees Ward start to slide, a chink in his armor, a weakness he can exploit, well then Hopkins will be singing a different tune about fighting Ward.![]()
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
