Gonzalez has skill, but it looks like he needs to work on his endurance, because he's looking tired.

I know we're not supposed to shit on fighers, takes guts even getting there and all that jazz but that was flat out cowardly Im afraid.

You dont quit a fight you're winning 7 - 2. He aint got no broken wrist.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Eddie Hearn - "he had the pressure of the country on his shoulders out there tonight".

Without mentioning the pressure of a promoter seeing his prize capture from Warren about to become a major loss maker.

Corruption has got nothing to do with it.

This! What corruption pay the people off to "school" your fighter for six rounds but then quit three rounds later, what fuckin asinine logic is that Gonzales just didn't want it after ricky was still there after the 7th

I do understand what a lot of you are saying, I don't know I just think he might have been able to carry on. It's tough to say really, I wouldn't mind watching it again.

I've no doubt he could have carried on, there's countless examples of fighters getting hurt and continuing on. Danny Williams got a last round KO with his shoulder hanging out of his socket ffs. Not everyone has that desire though, I think he was just tired (he'd only been 10 rounds once), and disheartened that when he went for the finish it didn't come and his opponent was happy to trade with him. He barely did anything in rounds 8 and 9, he looked totally spent.

Nah Gonzalez blew is wad over the first six where most of his opponents were laid out. Rickys chin held on and then Gonzalez had nothing left. Gonzalez could not even plant his feet the last couple of rounds.
