If other one dimensional fighters who are only good in one aspect of MMA can get in MMA, then a world champion in at least one martial art can make something of himself. He has proven toughness and the ability to beat world class oponents. Yes that was years ago but against someone with far more MMA experience than Mayorga, who actually teaches it, has his own MMA team, Mayorga managed to out tough him, get out of apparently ungetoutable holds and make him cry
If Mayorga was to take this as a new career path then he could be brought along slowly as fighters with no amateur back ground are in Boxing, like Chavez JR.
Hes already proved that its not going to be easy to make him submit and I think some "MMA fans" resent that.
