I'd call Devon fight a rob job. I thought Matthysse beat Judah 114-113 and actually did a very solid job with 3, 4, 6 round body work and showed a game plan. He made it a point to stab Judah in the chest constantly, touching him and moving him. Judah came to life in 5th and 8th and landed a couple of very solid trap left hooks that Matthysse walked through. Judah started to show fatigue in 9th a bit and Matthysse turned very physical. I had Matthysse taking 10,11 big with Judah trying to find his ground and avoid that right as well as Matthysse winning the last round.
Matthysse is NOT some one demensional slugger. He can power box quite a bit and invests in the body. His power carrys.
After reading this thread I rewatched the fight on YouTube. I don't get why the audience was booing, it was a good fight all the way through. Showed Lucas isn't just a brawler. I like Judah, seems like a decent guy. I really like his style. It was a close fight but I do think Lucas won. What is up with Lucas punching to the back of the head. He did it against Judah and Peterson complained about about it. Peterson said it was making him dizzy and tried to complain to the ref. Is this a pattern.

I'm pretty sure that it is generally thought that Lucas lost two close controversial decisions. I believe that is a fair description. I had him winning both fights; @ICB had him winning one, and losing the other. What is telling is that the fans in St. Louis thought Matthysse won when he fought Alexander, and the fans in NJ thought he won when he fought Zab.
funny thing I just watched the judah-matthyse fight tonight ----- th9ught judah was pulling away in like the 7th, 8th, 9th but then matthyse just came on and manhandled him pretty good, landed alot of hard body shots and pretty much pushed him all around the ring, and you could see judah just starting to run out of gas by the 10th or so....then the knockdown by matthyse--- i thought matthyse won the fight by 1 point. even though i was routing for judah. first time i ever routed for him too.
I had Lucas winning by a point, but the fight was WAY too close to be a robbery.
Well i thought Judah did more then enough in the start and mid rounds to get the decsion. As for the Alexander fight i remember scoring it a draw but i go watch it again dont think he was robbed.
Thing is i keep hearing how Matthysse was robbed twice, and that isn't the case. The Judah fight was razor thin close and could of gone either, i agree with everyone else on the Alexander fight there's no way Alexander won that or was even close to winning it, but then again i thought Kotelnik was robbed vs Alexander aswell so go figure.

He wasn't robbed in either fight in my opinion. He lost close controversial decisions. Controversial in the sense that many people thought he won both fights. I agree with you that I had Matthysse winning by a number of rounds in the Alexander fight. I also agree that the Judah fight was closer. I had Matthysse by a round or two, but your scorecard is very fair. I'll have to rewatch it.

That's what happens when fighters constantly grab and hold, if you try to hit them to the head it looks like you are trying to rabbit punch them.
If you clinch with Matthysse expect some shoots to the rear area of your head.
Complaining about rabbit punches when you are grabbing and holding is like pushing a fighters head down and then complaining about low blows. IMO
