Was there ever negociations for a Tyson Douglas 2 even years down the line?

I had heard that after that fight Douglas was done with boxing for good, that he hung up the gloves and swore it off forever.

He may as well have. Crazy how he let himself go between beating Tyson and fighting Holyfield.

I do remember hearing that a rematch was being talked about in the late nineties or something though, probably why Tyson ended up fighting Savarese instead.

There were stories about him being in the steam room to sweat off weight, and ordering a room service pizza.

Haha thats hilarious, obviously he was a guy who just had some real demons and managed to get them working for him on one big occasion.

That is why I think there was never a rematch. It was the very best night in the life of Buster Douglas, a real bad one for tyson, and tyson almost pulled it out. If they fought 100 times, that was the one Douglas win.
