Though I grant you that some fighters just have inner demons that are too strong, some promoters though..truly are shit. Look at what happened with Briggs, took the beating of his life and only got fifty thousand for it.

That's right. We can't always blame the promoters for how fighters turn out.

It's the fighter's fault for being dumb enough to get played.

Lockridge was minding his own business and the young guy wanted to mess with him.

    Good job Lockridge!

Yup, it's amazing that such morons exist really. I've seen an interview of Wlad Klitschko where he said he doesn't go out to night clubs or anything like that because someone always wants to pick a fight. Can you imagine if he obliged some idiot and cranked them? That's like a 50/50 chance of death, seriously.

Alcohol will make a man do crazy things lol

Personally I've never been drunk enough to fancy my chances against a 6'6'', 240lb pro fighter but that's just me!

I remember an interview with Tony lopez years ago in which he said that once he became world champion, people were always challenging him. He said he'd tell them "Go ahead and punch first; I guarantee you that you will miss. Then I'll punch back and I guarantee you that I won't miss."
I read after he retired that his bar brawls were legendary in Sacramento.

If you're that dumb, you really do deserve to have to eat your meals through a straw for a few months.

I think Wlad does the smart thing though... I can see a guy picking a fight with a boxer, then when it aint going his way pull out a knife or a gun. It's always lose-lose for a fighter
