I think Price will no doubt have some shaky moments, it's just a matter of is he strong enough to fight through those? You see guys like Wlad or Khan rebound from a KO loss and be a bit more timid, a bit more unsure about themselves, but the good news with a fighter that's a bit more nervous is that he will stick to a game plan better. The game plan is like a crutch and if the trainer says "If you do x, y, & z he can't touch you" then the fighter is apt to follow those instructions to the letter.
I think Thompson comes in looking for 1 big counter shot like he did last time, and if Price is smart he'll be very wary of that and maybe try to set Thompson up for a counter of his own. I think Price will get shaken a few times early on, but he just needs to focus on landing the jab, and winning rounds. Thompson is older and will wear down later on in the fight....Price just needs to allow the KO to come to him.
Hopefully Lennox Lewis helped Price work some things out
Well it has to be worrying how badly he reacted to such a "nothing" looking punch, however, he's been KO'd and decked numerous times in the amateurs, so fighting after a KO loss is not an alien experience for him.
I expect he'll start super cautious but the longer Thompson is in there the more chance of Price losing (imo).

What Price shouldn't overlook is that he WAS having success vs Thompson and almost had him down before the KO blow was struck. Price just needs to remember to snap the punches out and snap them back, pace himself, and open a hole in Thompson's defense to stick that right cross in

These kinds of upsets really hurt the heavyweight landscape IMO...you don't get the Ali-Frazier, Foreman-Frazier, battle of the 2 undefeated fighters for the title. You barely get the Gerry Cooney vs Larry Holmes kinds of fights where you have a green prospect and an established Champion because either the champion loses which puts the top of the division at a standstill due to rematch clauses (but that's not happening recently) or the prospect gets stopped before getting another step closer to a title shot.
The kind of loss Price suffered vs Thompson (especially given how Wlad just manhandled Thompson in that rematch) has probably set Price back 2 years, and that's providing everything goes right for Price. Price will have to win this next fight and then prove himself vs a big puncher to show he can handle them and THEN vs a top tier contender to show he's class enough to fight for the titles.
The irony in it all, is that for one shot power, Price himself dwarfs all the other heavy weight contenders, including Wilder. He throws a punch properly and when it lands there is no need for windmilling or following up. Unlike Fury he does not have to get somebody in a headlock before knocking them out, he has freakish power. I think he sparks Thompson in impressive fashion, but then that's what I thought last time. Here is where you all can have a laugh at my amazing boxing judgement. I put this together before the Thompson fight
it is posible he will KO thomspon early obviously with his power
I think tho thompson is at the point now where he is too experienced and still too good to be KOed by one punch and will at the very least last a few rounds
and as you say the longer he is there the more chance he is of winning
i hope price wins like

I agree with you, Thompson will do exactly what he did last time, fiddle about surviving and try to land the odd shot here and there, so there's every chance of the same result considering Price's punch resistance looks shocking.
Be a shame if Price can't at least get knocked out in some higher profile events though.
