I like Mikey Garcia. He's a very personable young man, and an exciting boxer/puncher. But 2 pounds??!? WTF is that all about? He's taking a page out of Brandon Rios' book with that fiasco. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

Is this a trend from these young, Tex-Mex or Mexicali fighters?
I mean c'mon...... where's the discipline here?
It's a total lack of respect for the sport of boxing and its fans, who pay good money to see a professional boxing match between two professionals, at the agreed upon weight limit.

It is becoming a habit with fighters from this region, Garcia, Rios, Chavez. Apart from Purdy, I cant remember the last time a European fighter didnt make weight for a big fight. Did Hatton ever fail to make weight? I mean if he could make weight, anyone could.

He was fined 150 thousand dollars which I believe went to Lopez. I just cant get over his brothers explanation for his fighters not making weight. In all my years of following the sport I do not believe I have ever heard anything so inept.
