Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I put $100 on Paulie to win $1000.
Not that I'm super confident in Paulie winning, but I figured I'd throw some money on him based on a number of factors/possibilities.
1) Jumping two weight divisions is a big leap, even if it is against a flower-puncher like Paulie.
2) The added bulk might slow Broner down, or maybe the fact that he only has to be under 147 might make him under train.
3) He hasn't faced a class opponent with the style that Paulie has.
yikes lol.. If you have the money to play with then good luck, but I'd sooner put $1000 on Broner in order to make 25 cents myself. The kiss of death from a betting perspective is that even if Paulie actually manages to earn a close decision(which is such a long shot in the first place) he won't get it.

Any chance of bumping this up as fight chat threadLike quickly
Undercard action starting right now on Showtime Extreme....Cruisers Marcus Brown 4-0 (4) vs Ricardo Campillo 7-6-1 (5)...don't blink
Corona gals...9.5 stars of 10 thus far![]()

Brown goes 5-0 tko 2 over a willing but badly outclassed fulltime karate instructor Campillo.
Julian Williams 12-0 (7) vs a seemingly faded Joachim Alcine 33-4-1 (19) at the bell..
Array
Batting practice for Williams...Alcine down 1 min into it but bulls him to ropes and smothers to survive round.

This has actually turned into a good scrap by the old champ. Williams in control 1-4 includind a hard left hook KD, a "kd" via left hook on the break he was warned about. Alcine down yet again in 5th by left hook....then Alcine comes back in round, starts digging body very hard and catching Williams to win rounds 6,7,8 here. IF this was maybe a 10 rounder it would have been interesting. How he survived 4th, early 5th who knows.
Williams W.8

Can't see anything other than a Broner TKO in this one. They're both on very different career trajectory's right now. I don't think the whole "jumping 2 weight classes" is going to be that big a deal either, Broner looked good at the weigh in and Paulie is hardly a big welterweight himself. Plus he couldn't crack an egg so it's not like Broner is going to have to be wary of a bigger man's power.
Great heart by Alcine

I eat crow. Paulie did much better than I expected. Sorry I doubted him the way I did. Broner is not as good as made out to be. I got caught up in the hype for a second there. I'll reign in my views on him. Good, but not great. He's only 23, and still a work in progress.
