He'll defend the title against a few nobody's, and Showtime will pay him millions to do it, which is retarded and ridiculous.

Berto, Cano, Karass, Thurman, Alexander maybe. I don't think they'll let him go anywhere near those guys though. Hopefully, Paulie gets a rematch, and get to make another $1.3MM pay day. Can you believe Broner got paid $1.5MM to fight Paulie?
I'm hard pressed to think of a guy who has been so highly placed on a mount, "the savoir of boxing" ffs and self "anointed" and has looked so unimpressive while having it done. It makes the sport even more cheap and gimmicky. But I don't know if they can dumb it down and go backwards now, though you are right he needs to. It has all the feel and look of a Berto or Gamboa situation early on only more obnoxious.

What do you think of that pitch where they want the fans to 'pick his next opponent'? They may be setting themselves up for a massive eating of crow. I mean its not like fans online, arm chair fans, are going to pick a cake walk non name but more so a huge player? Dunno, just sounds silly.

That would be a hell of a fight, not sure I'd be confident in picking either way honestly. If Broner couldn't hurt Rios at all then he probably would get mowed over, but he'd have a lot more oppourtunity to really unload than he did against PAulie.

If Manny beats Rios, and jmm and bradley winner refuses to fight Pac. Pac vs Broner would be great imo.

If Pacquiao still looks good against Rios, Broner would be a huge waste of time for him. Broner just barely has enough credibility to fight the loser of either match up imo. I think he only has a shot against Rios, barring Pac or JMM looking worn out which is of course quite possible. Would be pathetic to see Broner get a fight against either of them in the event though.

You know Cloner might actually wait those two superstars out or perhaps there will be no need to any further waiting depending on how the two look next but again that is no different then what countless of others have done that came before him. People have been cashing in on a completely shot Roy Jones since Tarver. Rios has no shot. Cloner said after the fight that he will let the people decide and that he is eying 140 which is where the deep end of the pool is. He's a tin collector so I'm hoping he's not stupid enough to go after Lamont. Talk about canon fodder. Cloner needs a massive fight to sustain that massive ego.

For sure, I only meant it would be pathetic to me since Broner is an absolute piece of shit and Manny or Marquez have been such great class for the sport, nothing to do with boxing really
Lamont clearly wouldn't have a prayer and I don't think Broners people would be stupid enough to make that his next opponent either. Rios should be a moot point assuming Pacquiao destroys 5 of his remaining 8 brain cells, but on current form I think that Broner would at least be in a fight there. Rios is tougher than Malignaggi, works harder and may be able to touch Broner up more than he's comfortable shaking his head to.
