Whether or not Floyd was right for taking that shot on Ortiz you can't give Floyd credit for a straight KO on that one. Had the fight gone the distance Floyd would have won but he would not have KOd Ortiz. It is impressive that Floyd has achieved super stardom without having the flashy knockout power that casual fans look for. I honestly thought Floyd would pick Khan for a fight so he could have one more real KO before he retires.

Again I disagree. Ortiz dropped his hands and Floyd punched him in the face, which is pretty much why he was in the ring. Ortiz didn't beat a 10 count, so Floyd KO'ed him. It was Floyd's power that knocked him out. Do you disagree with Zab knocking out Spinks, or Khan knocking out Zab?

I give FLoyd full credit for the KO cuz all he did was take advantage of the situation, legally... That's what you are supposed to do in a fight. Take advantage of your opponents dumb mistakes..

Boxing has no room for hugs, kisses, and handshakes. Ortiz wanted to make out with Floyd and got his ass handed to him which was just.

Even if the fight had continued, in my eyes, the way the fight was flowing, Ortiz was on his way to a KO loss anyways. It just had that flow to it. He wasn't going to make it past 6..

You know even if he doesnt score another ko for the rest of his career, hell retire with a roughly 50% ko ratio, not bad for a defensive fighter who moved up all those weightclasses
