You are def right about that. He has been stuck in such a state of career limbo. When he finally does get his "mega" fight he runs the big risk of growing stale, or not growing at all. There were spots in his last fight where he looked like he had 100 other things on his mind.

Well said. Gamboa was out of sorts in his last few fights. Whether he has been partying too much with 'fiddy cent' or he has lost that love for boxing. If he gets his shot he needs to change big time or he will be blown away.

After his last fight, why would people want to see it? He needs to step it up and remind everyone why fans were excited before. If this is him trying to entice fans into another good enough effort, while he continues to potshot and let his combination hand speed and head movement spoil, he needs to save it. Truth be told, statements like that are part of whats wrong with boxing. Guys like broner and maybe now gamboa, play the weight game, try to rely on natural talent and try to cherry pick division champs for trinkets to improve their star status and get more money per fight. If that's where this is going I'd rather see if Garcia can get the strap back and have a long run at dominance of a weight class, rather than seeing gamboa possibly win one (once an sanctioning body finds a strap to put up for the fight) and then bolt to another division higher or lower right after. Just my opinion.
