Well at least we know prices chin ain't china and I don't think his career needs not be over either, but he better take a page out of wladdys book if he has it in him. He should have fought a cautious safety first fight instead he starts bangin in the second gets overexcited and basically had blown his load in the third...

I don't think he's nearly good enough in the first place to compensate for what we just saw. He must take pages from a baby Giraffes book by the looks of it, pretty shocking condition he was in.

I don't have to justify anything Ross. Maybe you would like to elucidate on why Price has a glass chin, you fucking numpty.

I only caught the last round, was out for a meal and what I saw he is just a clueless idiot.

What I said is true though. Fury has come up the right way.

I wondered why the fuck they took the fight so soon. He needed at least a couple of fights against the sort of opponents he should have been facing after...SKELTON....

He had learnt nothing in 4 months. Frank Maloney begged Lennox to help Price but he proved he's as good a trainer as he is commentator... Shit!

Hope your meal was nice, tonight I got a generous serving of humble pie. Lewis seems to have complicated the situation and Price looked all out of sorts in many ways. Cant question his chin though or his power. His usually decent jab disappeared and his other punches but he got smacked around the jaw, temple, ear and back of the head and didn't collapse like a big pack of cards.

I don't think anyone can be blamed for what happened in there. Price wasn't ready, he looked shit scared before the fight and did just about everything wrong once it started.

To say this happened because of Lennox Lewis's input is ridiculous IMO.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Agreed. I think training with Lewis can only be a good thing for Price long term, but one camp wasn't going to have a drastic impact on him. Especially when he was fighting someone who had just knocked him out and was by a distance the most experienced/best fighter Price had been in with. I don't think Lewis' presence had any significant impact on this fight, but that's not to say that if they have multiple camps together it won't benefit Price. They just need to make sure he's in with the appropriate opposition to work on these new things, because Thompson most certainly isn't the kind of fighter a prospect should be looking to try new things against.

When I said Lewis complicated the situation that was what I meant. Obviously Price forgetting everything he has learnt and been taught in that fight was not all Lennox's fault but having two trainers voices in your head, on top of the psychological baggage the previous loss inflicted, could not have helped. Giving up the advantage a long reach and decent jab gives you to try and trade in close is beyond insane. Respect to Thompson though he showed his mettle and revealed his class. Even without his post fight brilliance he left a big mark on British fight fans.

Unreal. That's BAD. Like Juanma getting destroyed by Salido twice bad. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.

One camp with Lewis was always unlikely to have a major impact on Price. It would have made sense to take him back a step and let him work on the new techniques against some lesser opposition. Stay active and then look to get Thompson again towards the end of the year. Credit to Price for wanting to get straight back in there, but if they were looking to refine his style it wasn't the smartest move.

I don't feel sorry for Maloney, after his classless and hateful comments about Wladimir Klitschko when Manny Steward died.

I do feel sorry for Price, though - he's a nice guy who deserved a better fate. Maloney wasn't able to get him enough fights/rounds over the past five years (compare his total rounds to other boxers who started around the same time, after the 2008 Olympics).

    Dont, the guys an idiot.

As for the comment above, whos to blame?

Maloney. Hes the one who has the business end decisions about Price.

He called Lennox and begged him to help out Price. It was going to take more than that.

He jumped from retired british level journeymen to someone who had just fought the best heavy in the world. That was a ridiculous choice of opponent. Price had faced no adversity up until then.

Then instead of getting 2 or 3 fights with the level he should have moved on to they throw him back in there with Thompson again!

Maloney is clueless and Price is just not workd level because even someone as inexperienced as Price would beat Thompson, if they were genuine world class.

You might be the biggest idiot to ever post on this forum. Maloney didn't want the fight, Price and his team pushed for it. He was interviewed by BoxNation an hour before the start and he said he was nervous and worried about the outcome. The interviewer who asked him the question about is health was out of order and you're on here digging on an old man who has stuck by a fighter even though he should have retired for health reasons. He could have fucking died after his last heart attack and you have no compassion for that? What kind of fucking moron are you?
