It's very tight.
It's very tight.
Murray is doing superbly thus far. He got that lightning start he needed, has made Novak work, and crucially kept his cool in the second.
The line calling has been dodgy IMO and seems to be against Djokovic who I feel a bit sorry for. I see why he started to rant at the Umpire.
Djokovic is going to have to pull a miracle here, but he is making too many mistakes and Murray is looking a much more mature player than in the past with only one raquet throw so far. Plus I think Djokovic is knackered from the other day.
There was a call in the first set and the Umpire overruled and replays showed the Umpire to be wrong. I think there was one other instance where Djokovic should have complained based on replays. It all led to that outburst. It had been building up a bit and off he went and I was on his side somewhat, but the point where he argued was him in the wrong and his other calls were all wrong too.
Let it be known that it is not a English champion, it's a Scottish champion! Technicality that he's British!
The English treated him like shit when he lost and he was Scottish, now he wins they want to claim him as British!
Fuck off!
Scottish Wimbledon champion!
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
The Brits with Union Jack Flags cheering him on up on Henman hill and across the country were not all Scottish. You are not seriously claiming that no Scottish people slagged him off when he lost ? Alex Salmond the dick tries to hi-jack it and make it about devolution but people are well aware that he is not supporting Murray just using the opportunity. Post Win interview Andy was happy to be described as British and never mentioned Scotland once. You have not left the Union yet so he is a Brit and as an Englishmen I had far more respect for him slagging off the English football team than I would have if he pretended to be all magnanimous. Fly your Saltire and be proud but don't lump fellow Brits celebrating his win in with the dumb glory hunters who wear Brazil shirts despite being born in London or Glasgow.
If he wins the next two consecutive Wimbledons, two more US opens, the french open and the Australian open and then Wimbledon twice and the US and French open in mixed Doubles he will have caught up with Fred Perry who despite the technicality of being British was an English Champion.
Well Done Andy

I would like some respect for starting threads year in year out saying that Murray would be champ. People laughed at me, they denounced him being Scottish, and I always stayed loyal and right now he is Wimbledon champion. miles was never really wrong, the timing was just slightly off. Personally, I hate nationality. I am happy that Murray won and being Scottish is a silly distraction. He won and now I am telling you that Murray will be in a duel with Djokovic for the number one slot. Nadal will sometimes come up but him and Federer are pretty shot at this point in time.
Ha, you're very welcome to call them all English!
Come on, you can't try to claim him after all the stick you guys gave him.
Quite literally, Britain's hero when he wins, Scotland's prick when he loses.
It still pisses me off that you claim Burns and Cleverly as Britishlol.
