AFRAID or FEAR... those words will never came up to the minds of a professional boxer....

LOSS is part of a boxing career and sometimes made them much stronger and more brave....

A rematch was possible becase they were not afraid to face again their opponent... in fact, Morales is on his best condition now and very anxious to beat Pacquiao on their third fight... while Barrera is now ready for a rematch against Pacquiao

    Duuuudee,

Barrera is really afraid of Pacquiao. He is afraid to be beaten up again. He is trying to show us that he is not afraid of Pacquiao by his so called "intention" to fight Pacquiao again but can't you sense the hesitation in his voice and even in his face. He is really afraid because he does not know how to beat Pacquiao. Nor does he sense any probability of being able to fight Pacquaio decently. What he is thinking is his career only. Now, does it make him a coward? Yes, in the strictest sense. Barrera is a coward trying to protect his image. Actually, a coward to the highest degree.

I stand corrected on Morales. He is not a coward. But he fears Pacquiao. I am actually predicting a 10th or less round knockout on Morales come this third encounter with Pacquiao.

dude pac had a cut during the first fight and erik managed to win in a very close 115-113... how the hell can you say he toyed pac the whole fight?
if pac had won another round the fight would be a draw...
    despite the cut...
despite the problems outside the ring...
all i can say is that was not pacs real punch the whole fight!!!
yea don't fucking try to take credit away from Morales i swear if there is anything i hate in boxing is the hypocricy of the fans, when Morales obviously won the fight, it was a great performance, and now that he lost the rematch with Pacquiao, which was no lopsided beating, by the end of the fight i had Manny up by one point, so yea Morales hurt Pacquiao in both fights, took a beating out of his own stupidity, chose to just bang with Manny instead of a fine combination of both like he did in the first, you bring up the fact that he was cut, yeaaaaaaa and your point is, the perfect example of why that shouldn't be an actual problem is the fight that took place right before the Morales/Pacquiao fight, which was Arce/Hussein 1 fight, Arce had the worst gash on his nose and still took the fight and by KO, Pacquiao's not the first fighter that has had to deal with cuts so that's no excuse, and even so the fact that Morales came out of the fight with a completely clean face, no real swelling and he gave away the last round, cause he blantely did, he went southpaw and GAVE Pacquiao the last round, is enough to say that his win was a VERY SOLID WIN DESPITE THE GLOVES

Are you kidding me..... Erik and Marco scared !

    PLEASE !!

If you've paid attention to their careers for a second you'd know that's not their nature.

Not an excuse, but, it is unfortunate Manny has looked superior at times due to Erik and Marco being at the tail end of their careers..... it's boxing, it happens all the time, but to say their scared isn't accurate.

PS. : Erik Morales was able to beat a Pac-man at the tail end of his career.... think what he may have done to him in his prime !!

i think it's vice versa at the height of morales's career he fight boxers who's on the tail end of their career. that's the reason morales is scared of pacquiao.

I seriously doubt fear of an opponent ever is a factor for fighters at this level. They may feel fear of losing and letting down their fans or their people but there is no fear of the beating they may or may not take from their opponents or rival boxers. I'd like to see Morales outbox Pac again, but shit, you gotta also give it up for the Philipino guy man, he lays down some heat. I heard that when he was a kid the family was so poor that one night for dinner his Dad cooked up Manny's pet dog because there was no food to eat. That's some hardcore shit if it's true!

Barrera and Morales afraid? No.. I think fighters get more excited to maybe fight a guy who is a challenge. But fear? I doubt it. That was a problem with Hagler. People thought guys were afraid to fight him since all the guys who fought him ended up knocked out and on the canvas in a conclusive fashion. But they wanted to fight him I am sure. During the fight they found out this is not going to go my way.
