Thread: Chris Eubank was a true champion. I miss this kind of fighter.

    Shame really.

    Look at all eubank has achieved but then he was so reluctant to fight jones and toney and even admitted that he didnt fancy his chances.

    Why would any professional boxer say something like that especially after all he has achieved.

    Eubank might have been toney or roys kryptonite at the time.

    On paper and looking at his skills roy seemed invincible but he never faced a michael watson or nigel benn. (Not knocking roys opponents just saying the latter were very tough as well)

    Nigel benn would fight anyone, anywhere..thats why he is my favorite british boxer of all time.

    The fights eubanks had with Benn and Watson finished him off, he was on cruise control after that making as much money possible from the least resistant WBO/sky could find for him. He earned his right to do that because those fights were brutal.

    That version of Eubanks had a chance against Jones and Toney, not saying he would win, but he had a chance.
